Varsity Flag Football team flying high

On Oct. 15, our unstoppable Varsity Flag Football team stormed the field and soared to a dominant 32-0 victory over Havergal, improving their season record to a flawless 5-0. The energy was electric, the execution was sharp, and the team delivered a performance that left no doubt that they meant business.

The game started with a bang: an early interception followed by a powerful rushing touchdown set the tone. But the momentum didn’t stop there. In a jaw-dropping sequence, the Cygnets scored a punt return touchdown and a pick-six on back-to-back plays.

Maya was unstoppable, finding the end zone four times and dazzling the crowd with a perfectly executed hook-and-ladder play with Sara that showcased both strategy and chemistry. Onna was a defensive powerhouse, returning an interception for a touchdown, pulling multiple flags, and keeping Havergal’s offence in check.

Lucy stepped up under pressure, delivering clutch throws and explosive runs to keep the chains moving and secure key first downs. And our Player of the Game, Tamara, was an absolute force, grabbing three interceptions and executing textbook post-catch hip drops that shut down Havergal’s momentum time and time again.
