Varsity Flag Football repeats as CISAA Champions
The Varsity Flag Football team finished an undefeated season with back-to-back 13-0 shutout victories in the semifinals over Trinity College on Oct. 29 and the finals over Holy Name of Mary on Oct. 31.
Despite tough conditions that included rain and wind, the girls never faltered and stuck together throughout the morning.
Maya and Sara led the way with big touchdowns in both games, while Lucy played excellently at quarterback. Once again, the team was led by the defence, which was relentless in both their flag pulling and pursuing the ball in the air.
Throughout the season, the team finished 9-0, outscoring their opponents 170-27, and concluded on a 14-game win streak that dated back to last season. Everyone on the team contributed and should be extremely proud of what they’ve accomplished over the past three years.
