St. Anne’s School is proud to share a significant milestone in the life of our community and in the realization of The Nest, our future centre for wellness, community, and athletics.
Following the successful achievement of our $15 million shovel-in-the-ground fundraising goal, the Board of Governors has formally approved the project to move forward. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our community, $17,772,003 has been raised to date, allowing the school to proceed confidently into construction planning.
With Board approval in place, the construction management contract has been awarded to Aquicon Construction, and preparations are underway to begin construction in the spring. The anticipated build timeline is approximately 18 months.
This moment has been made possible through the leadership and commitment of several transformational donors. We are deeply grateful to Dem Rogers, St. Andrew’s College Class of 1959, and a member of the Board of Governors, whose leadership gift helped launch this project. It is with great pride that we share the facility’s formal name: the Rogers Wellness & Athletic Centre. The Rogers name will stand as a lasting testament to leadership, partnership, and the power of philanthropy to shape meaningful spaces for our students.
We are also thankful to our anonymous matching campaign donor, whose challenge inspired generosity across our community, and to the Dunin family, whose continued investment reflects a deep belief in our mission and in the young women we serve.
Just as importantly, this milestone belongs to the many families, parents, grandparents, and friends of the school who chose to invest in this project at every level. Commitments ranging from $50 to $500,000 demonstrate the extraordinary impact of a community united by purpose. Together, these gifts form the foundation of the build and reflect a shared belief in what this centre will mean for our students.
The Rogers Wellness & Athletic Centre is a $30 million facility designed to strengthen wellness, athletics, and sisterhood at St. Anne’s. It responds directly to the growing social, emotional, and physical needs of our Cygnets and addresses the limitations of our current facilities. The centre will be a place where our community gathers to compete, perform, celebrate, and support one another, fostering school spirit, connection, and a deep sense of belonging.
While Board approval and our fundraising progress mark major milestones, the work is not yet complete. Tuition supports the school’s daily operations; transformational projects like this rely on philanthropy. Continued fundraising remains essential to reduce reliance on financing, advance our broader campus master plan, and ensure the full vision for the Rogers Wellness & Athletic Centre is realized as thoughtfully and sustainably as possible.
With continued support, we can fully bring to life the dance studio, wellness spaces, breakout rooms, gymnasium, and community auditorium envisioned for this remarkable facility. Every gift matters, and every contribution moves us closer to completion for today’s students and future generations.
Additional naming and recognition opportunities remain available within the centre, offering families a lasting way to celebrate their connection to St. Anne’s and be part of this historic project. Families with questions are encouraged to contact Taylor Browne, Director of Advancement, at taylor.browne@stannes.ca.
We are grateful, energized, and ready for the next chapter. Thank you for helping turn this vision into reality.
