It is an extraordinary time to be part of St. Anne’s School.

 

In just a few short years, St. Anne’s has grown from a bold idea into a thriving community of girls who are curious, courageous, compassionate, and ready to make their mark on the world. With each new school year, our community grows stronger, our traditions take deeper root, and our students continue to shape what it means to be a St. Anne’s girl.

 

Our strategic plan, In Flight, reflects how far we have come and the exciting journey ahead. Guided by our mission to empower girls to be courageous learners and compassionate citizens who live and lead with wisdom, we are creating an educational experience intentionally designed for girls and the extraordinary possibilities that await them.

 

At St. Anne’s, girls are encouraged to take intellectual risks, discover their strengths, develop their voices, and pursue opportunities that challenge and inspire them. Learning extends far beyond the classroom through athletics, the arts, leadership, service, experiential learning, and the many relationships that create a genuine sense of sisterhood and belonging.

 

Our partnership with St. Andrew’s College makes that experience even more distinctive. As York Region’s only independent school for girls, St. Anne’s offers the advantages of a single-gender learning environment alongside meaningful opportunities to connect, collaborate, and build friendships with students at our partner school just one kilometre away. It truly is the best of both worlds.

 

This year, we are also watching the future of St. Anne’s take shape before our eyes. Construction of the Rogers Wellness & Athletics Centre represents an exciting next chapter for our school and will create new opportunities for athletics, wellness, learning, performance, and community life when it opens in the fall of 2027. It is a powerful reflection of the confidence our community has in St. Anne’s and in the young women who will lead its future.

 

That future already feels very real. In June, we celebrated our first graduating class, an historic milestone for our school. Those first graduates arrived as pioneers and left having helped establish traditions, shape our culture, and demonstrate what a St. Anne’s education can make possible. The generations that follow will continue to build upon the legacy they began.

 

Our girls enter St. Anne’s as cygnets, young swans beginning their journey. Over the years, we have the privilege of watching them grow into confident young pens ready to leave the nest with courage, purpose, and a strong sense of who they are.

 

I remain incredibly grateful to lead this remarkable community and excited by everything that lies ahead.
