University Counselling

A personalized approach is at the heart of St. Anne’s University Counselling program. As students move through their careers at St. Anne’s, we have multiple touchpoints to tailor our counselling, advocate, and support our students’ interests and needs. We counsel with three key principles: fit, academic performance, and career goals.

We are deeply committed to ensuring that all students achieve their post-secondary goals and are thoughtfully counselled on the factors that matter to them.

Through individual counselling sessions, students in Grades 10 to 12 are guided through their current course selections and the application process for universities in Canada and abroad. The University Counselling team at SAS is experienced with applications to the U.K., the U.S., and abroad, and offers a special focus on NCAA applications.

Each student receives multiple, individualized counselling sessions throughout their career at St. Anne’s, where they build a personalized post-secondary counselling portfolio. This information is shared and communicated with families. Families also receive individual counselling sessions with our University Counselling team.

St. Anne’s, alongside its partner school, St. Andrew’s College, are proud to host Canadian and International University fairs and annually have more than 20+ schools visit for individual visits. Students in Grades 11 and 12 also travel to a variety of campuses in Ontario during the school’s fall campus visits program, taking the opportunity to tour schools and participate in interactive workshops and lectures.

Our skilled University Counselling team members help with all aspects of the application process and documentation, including transcripts, letters of reference, personal information profiles, essays, and standardized test requirements. Information concerning preparation opportunities offered each year is available in the University Counselling Office. They also provide scholarship information and assist students with preparing their scholarship applications and supplementary forms.
